The Governors are seeking to appoint a Foundation Governor.

Foundation Governors play an important part in maintaining and developing the Catholic character of schools.

Governors do not need any formal qualifications – having appropriate relevant skills and experience, an interest in education, a commitment to prepare for and attend meetings, conduct school visits and attend training are as important.

To be a Foundation Governor you must be over 18 and a practicing Catholic. As part of the self-nomination process, you will need to give the contact details of your parish priest who can verify this.

TEACHER OF COMPUTING/ICT

Part-time

Required for September 2025

M1 to UPS 3, £31,650 to £49,084 (pro-rata)

The Governors seek to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and inspirational part-time, permanent Teacher of Computing/ICT.

You will join our highly successful Computing department, delivering an engaging KS3 and KS4 curriculum. You should hold a qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology and be competent in teaching computer programming.

This role would suit an exceptional ECT or an experienced qualified teacher.

ACHIEVEMENT LEADER/SECOND IN CHARGE FOR ENGLISH

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational full-time, permanent English teacher who will undertake the role of Assistant Lead/Second in Charge to support the Head of English.

You would join our highly successful English department of 9 staff who are all passionate about delivering a high-quality engaging English curriculum to our pupils in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.  At St Bede’s we believe that educational visits are essential to our pupils learning so our staff are responsible for the behaviour of students inside and outside of the classroom.

The role would suit an established teacher with a proven record of excellent teaching, looking to progress to the next level. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for further progression within the department.
