Our school curriculum reflects the wide range of learning experiences we provide for our students. As a Voluntary Aided school, we teach the latest National Curriculum as prescribed by the Department for Education.
We offer a full range of National Curriculum subjects, ensuring that each child follows a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum. Our curriculum promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of students at the school. It promotes the values that reflect our modern British society and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
The way in which the School provides education – the delivery of the curriculum – is monitored and assessed to ensure it fulfils the requirements of the Equality Act (2010) and the Special Educational Need and Disabilities Regulations (2014). However, the School’s curriculum content should include a full range of issues, ideas and materials that expose pupils to thoughts and ideas of all kinds, even though they might be challenging or controversial.
Our curriculum is organised as a two week timetable of 50 one hour lessons.
