FOUNDATION GOVERNOR VACANCY

Required for 2024

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Foundation Governor.

Foundation Governors play an important part in maintaining and developing the Catholic character of schools.

Governors do not need any formal qualifications – having appropriate relevant skills and experience, an interest in education, a commitment to prepare for and attend meetings, conduct school visits and attend training are as important.

To be a Foundation Governor you must be over 18 and a practicing Catholic. As part of the self-nomination process, you will need to give the contact details of your parish priest who can verify this.

Governance – Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford

KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Required as soon as possible

Part Time, 22.5 Hours per week, Term Time, inclusive of 5 inset days.

Grade B, £12.26-£12.45 per hour

Pro-rata for term time equates to £15,103 to £15,686

Working hours will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30 am to 2.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch. Tuesday, 9.00am to 2.00pm with half an hour unpaid lunch. There is also the potential for the right candidate to cover a 27.5 hour working week, starting an hour prior to the start times listed above for each day.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a Kitchen Assistant to join a team of experienced staff in our School Kitchen.

You will be required to work on a variety of tasks including food preparation, cooking, serving, washing up, setting up the dining hall along with cleaning the kitchen and canteen areas to ensure that high quality meals are served on time.

Previous experience in a similar role along with holding a food hygiene certificate would be advantageous but is not essential.

Essential skills include being able to work under pressure in a physically demanding and fast paced role along with having good communication skills.  You must also have a good standard of general education and be willing to undertake regular training on hygiene, manual handling and safeguarding.  To be successful in the role it’s imperative you are a team player and have a good timekeeping and attendance record.

MATHS TEACHER

Required for September 2025 or sooner if possible

M1, £31,650 to UPR3 £49,084

To further strengthen our Maths Department the Governors are seeking to appoint an additional full time, permanent, Maths teacher to the school’s headcount. The role would suit an established teacher with a proven record of excellent teaching or an ECT with drive and ambition.
